Week 4,5, and 6: Forget the weight loss — Paul talks boxes

February 22, 2011

Humans —

I know you’re probably all wondering how my weight loss is going. It’s going fine. I’m looking svelte and I’m more agile than ever. But I’m here to discuss more important things.

Cardboard boxes.

I f'n love cardboard boxes.
AHH IT’S A CARDBOARD BOX.

(Note that I’m not sure why these pictures are black and white. I think Human #1 was trying to make me look thinner.)

If you’re smart and lucky enough to own a cat, you probably know that we cats adore laying on anything and everything you put on the ground.

Especially cardboard boxes.

If your cat doesn’t like cardboard, it’s probably defective.*

Shrimp's good but I prefer the box.

Pizza boxes are very comfortable.

How can you expect me to concentrate on diet and exercise when the Humans are constantly bring home new areas for me to lay on?! Just today, I was about to embark on a game of fetch when Human #2 brought this beauty home.

This is a stellar box.

This is a stellar box.

This new area is fantastic. Not only is it the perfect size, but it’s also extremely versatile.

When it's flipped upside down ...

When it's flipped upside down ...

... it makes the PERFECT cave.

... it makes the PERFECT cave.

So yes — we cats love our cardboard boxes. You humans have no idea what you’re missing.

Maybe next week I’ll update you in detail about weight loss progress — or maybe I’ll just nap in my box.

Goodnight.

Goodnight.

— Paul the Cat-who-doesn’t-care-he’s-fat

*Actually, your cat is not defective. Just weird.

Our family cat when I was growing up loved boxes too. It’s definitely a cat thing. 🙂

P.S. I see someone loves Costco as much as we do.
