Beware the … Adopt the Internet Day!

March 15, 2011

Today is Petfinder.com’s 15th birthday and to help celebrate, it’s hosting Adopt the Internet Day, which aims to raise awareness for adoptable pets. Since all of our pets were adopted, we obviously had to participate and help animals find their forever homes.

Coincidentally — or not — it’s also the day where you need to be really careful that no one wants to stab you 23 times. So in honor of Petfinder’s B-day, Julius Caesar, and us being nerds, we give you Caesar and Brutus — two adorable, adoptable pets.

Beware the Ides of March.

This gorgeous American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer mix named Caesar is approximately 2 years old. If you’re in the New York area, this little guy could be yours. How can you say no to that face?

Can I haz your lap?

While Brutus might have the name of a murderous back-stabber, we promise he’s actually a sweetheart. Brutus would love nothing more than to curl up on your lap in his forever home. This adorable domestic shorthair is currently in Connecticut.

If none of these guys are in your area but you’re looking to adopt, go to Petfinder.com to find your new best friend today.

Happy Adopt the Internet Day!

Going around the blogs today and seeing such cuties like these – really who could resist! I’ve featured some kitties that I know, that have been waiting for a forever home for ages and it’s going to be so hard to resist. Hope they get their home soon 🙂

I’m also participating in this great day. Why buy a pet, when there are so many that can be adopted? Great choices of photos, especially the pit bull (who they are now trying to ban in my town).

Caesar is gorgeous! That face! And, Brutus looks like my Sebastiaan who passed away a few years ago. I hope that they both find homes very soon. So glad you shared their stories and pics!
