This week’s animal pics: animals chilling together

March 3, 2011

Animals are interactive creatures — just like us. So this week we’re showing you how animals hang out with each other in the animal kingdom.

These monkeys need to spend a lot of time grooming since scientists think they’re self aware.

Lounging cats from Flickr user Elsie esq.

Two cats are better than one when it comes to fighting mice. Okay, that might not be true since Paul did a good job all by himself.

Run baby pigs! Run!

Tuesday was National Pig Day, and pigs everywhere were running to the celebration.

I really like grass. I see you do too.

A rare video of a rhino with her baby has surfaced. These guys seem to be less shy.

Play nice guys.

These guys are so smart, they probably don’t need to play nice and team up to survive.

Monkeys are so cute, I sometimes wish I could have one as a pet. But, I know they don’t make good pets and are happier being free in the wild. Love the pigs, too. I’ve heard they are hypoallergenic pets, maybe that would be the way to go.

I just recently read the self-aware article…so interesting! I was most surprised by the dolphins noticing the mark on their neck.

    I’d love a pet monkey…and a pet pig. 😉
