BREAKING NEWS: Ahh More Dead Birds! Hide your kids! Hide your wife!

As reported earlier, America is experiencing a dead bird epidemic. More supportive evidence emerged today when about 500 birds just up and fell from the sky in Louisiana. According to the AP, the recent wave of bird deaths continue to stump scientists, and explanations behind the eerie phenomenon have ranged from severe weather to rogue fireworks. Test results that could point to poison or disease will be released next week.

Of course, CNN’s Anderson Cooper floated another theory when he interviewed actor Kirk Cameron about the unexplained bird deaths in Arkansas. Cameron is best known for his work on the family comedy “Growing Pains,” but since then has staked his claim as a born-again Christian. Maybe dead animals falling from the sky is a sign of the Apocalypse? Right.

What do you think? Can birds dropping from the heavens be explained away by science? Or does it mean we’re living in End Times and in that case, Katie Couric should call Sarah Palin and apologize? Comment away, faithful readers!

Some guy who does not like birds roosting in his neighborhood and not smart enough to know that they can’t see well at night – used a cannon designed to scare birds away – it was heard by neighbors. The birds then flew into buildings, trees, the ground, themselves and killed themselves in fright-flight. Animal cruelty should be charged. Plus – they did not “fall” from the sky. I am sort of surprised that you have not checked this out.

Hi Ned — this is what you said happened in the Arkansas incident. Did the same thing happen in Louisiana? Also, we’ve been trying to find out more about the bird-hater — do you have any links we can look at? Thanks for reading and your help in finding out the cause of the birdpocalypse!
